1999-2006 Flame and Radiation Calculators Java applets to predict flame spread rates over thin and thick fuels in various environemnts and regimes. Also, radiation applets to predict black body radiation and band radiation from gases using wide-band model.

Dynamics of Flame Spread in Space Environment

$475,000 for the first 4 years and extension for another 2 years. Students will have opportunities to design experiments to be performed in the International Space Station and travel to NASA Glenn Center for experiments with drop towers, airplanes in parabolic trajectories and other state-of-the-art facilities.		 abstract
